Brightmile Summer 2022 Product Updates

Here are all the latest and greatest Brightmile manager portal and driver app updates from Summer 2022.

To evolve our already simple invite process we are pleased to offer further simplification and the additional security benefits of Federated Login/SSO to our Enterprise clients through updates to both the Manager Portal and Driver Apps.

Manager Portal Updates

Simplified signup for Manager Portal users

Alongside the work to bring our clients Federated Login/SSO we have also overhauled the Manager signup process to make it easier for Manager Portal only users to get started with Brightmile. 

Multi-Language Manager Digests and Portal insights

We continue our work to expand the localisation to support managers around the globe where English isn’t the primary language for business. We are pleased to be able to now offer, in addition to the already translated core Manager Experience, our monthly Manager Digest and Insights in all of our Portal languages. As a reminder, that is

First of a number of updates to our Group Compare tools

We are excited by the adoption and feedback on our Group Comparison tools to help managers explore team-based behaviour trends and promote inter-team competition. The first of a series of updates with a particular focus on complex organisational structures has just been rolled out delivering performance optimisations before we roll out updates to allow even greater flexibility and ease when building views for large organisations.

Improved useability of our Driver lifecycle tools for large enterprise fleets

With international clients now regularly having thousands of drivers to manage we have updated the Driver management tools in the Manager Portal to bring our managers the data they need faster than ever through improved search, filtering and pagination. 

Improved support for users swapping vehicles

For fleets that regularly swap vehicles between Drivers we now support the ability to re-allocated vehicles to new drivers. 

Driver App Updates

We are pleased to announce major updates to the Driver Apps for both Android and iOS

Self Serve Reward Vouchers

We have upgraded our BrightRewards programme to further integrate our international reward partners so that drivers earning rewards are now notified and can claim their rewards from within the Brightmile Driver app. This will help to ensure we minimise email traffic to Brightmile drivers and reduce the risk of Spam filters interfering with the delivery of reward and voucher details. 

Bluetooth Classification Assistant

Listening to feedback from some of our fleets where teams sometimes car share with colleagues or take public transport during the working day, we are excited to launch our Bluetooth Classification assistant to help. 

The Bluetooth Classification Assistant uses the presence of paired Bluetooth devices to recognise specific vehicles where a user is usually the driver, classifying trips automatically as Passenger where no recognised Bluetooth device is detected.

This feature is now live for all our Android Drivers and will be released in the next two weeks for our iOS users.

A host of other smaller improvements

The releases also include over 100 smaller updates across both iOS and Android apps as part of our ongoing focus on continuous improvement. These include:

• Improved in-app password management

• Support for new EV and Hybrid fuel types in-vehicle settings 

• Improved Mileage Report experience

• Support for Night shift in working hours
